2017 Vinden Wines Reserve Semillon
$60.00
- +

Sourced from two famous Semillon vineyards. Trevena Vineyard, planted in 1920 on sandy loam soils, these unirrigated vines are situated on Hermitage Road Pokolbin, and Somerset Vineyard in Pokolbin, planted in 1969 on sandy clay loam. Picked in early February, the wine shows the character of the old gnarled vines; concentrated citrus fruit, refreshing acidity and delicate minerality. Great early drinking, however patience will be rewarded with cellaring up to 10+ years.

2021 The Vinden Headcase Semillon

Semillon sourced from our Somerset Vineyard - this block was planted by the Howard family in 1969 over fine clay loam soil, the fruit was hand picked in early February. The juice was fermented on fine solids in tank, a large concrete egg,  neutral oak and given extended lees contact to building complexity and texture. The wine shows the character of the old gnarled vines; refreshing natural acidity, citrus fruit and delicate minerality. Drink anytime over the next 10+ years.

2021 Vinden Headcase Rose

Nothing screams summer, quite like a smashable rosé.

Multiple ferments in stainless, barrels and concrete egg’s were blended together to create a delicious, dry, textural rosé. This guy is made from Cabernet, Mourvèdre, Shiraz, Chardonnay & Semillon. This is my favourite rosé I've ever made, with a huge influence from Bandol - for those of you who know me, I drink that stuff by the gallon. Sourced from Inglewood, Somerset, Vinden & Tawarri Vineyards across the Hunter Valley.

2021 Somerset Vinden Wines Verdelho

This Verdelho was sourced from our Somerset Vineyard. The block was planted by the Howard family in 1987, over fine sandy clay loam soil. This is not your “traditional” Hunter Verdelho- the fruit was picked early to retain its beautiful natural acidity and freshness. A reinvigorated approach to this classic varietal, which is highly drinkable with anything spicy!

2021 Vinden Headcase Charmless Man

Named after the Blur Song, ‘Charmless Man’, this wine was an experimental batch for the 2021 vintage. This funky little blend of Shiraz, Cabernet & Alicante Bouschet is light, fun and delicious.  Enjoy it now or on a hot summers day serve it chilled with a straw. Cheers!
