Vinden Wines is one of very few wineries in Australia to grow and produce this rare grape varietal - it is a teinturier, one of the few grapes with red flesh, resulting from a cross in the 1800’s between a Grenache and Petit Bouschet. Grown on Vinden Estate on red loamy clay, it truly reflects the characteristics of the grape varietal, a fruit-forward style with red berries on the palate.  This new release is bottled with a light spritz.

This year’s lightly sparkling Alicante Bouschet looks a little different - going under a crown seal (2019 bottle used as a reference).
