Sourced from a number of vineyards in the Hunter Valley which we don't manage ourselves (which is why we can offer it at this price) as well as a little but of Somerset Shiraz to give the wine a little more weight and complexity. Made in traditional methods: cold soaked; fermented wild in open concrete fermenters (100% de-stemmed), hand plunged and aged in French oak puncheons. The wine is a vibrant modern Hunter Shiraz with fine tannin, and red and black fruits.

This Shiraz was sourced from our Somerset vineyard and handpicked in February 2023. The blocks were planted by the Howard family in the 1960’s & 70’s on red volcanic clay soil, over a limestone hillside in Pokolbin. Made in traditional methods: cold soaked; fermented wild (10% whole bunch) in open concrete fermenters; hand plunged and aged in French oak Foudre and Puncheons for 11 months. The wine is a vibrant modern Hunter Shiraz with fine tannin and dark fruits.

We produced some wine for a restaurant group and with the state of the world, things have moved a little slower than expected so we are going to help them move a little of the stock. This is our 2025 Shiraz Nouveau simply labelled under a different label. Same great wine at a fantastic price.

Available by the dozen only. These wines are labelled but not under Vinden.
